color: #333333;\">The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization say antibiotic resistance is one of the most serious problems facing our national and global health systems today. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; margin: 0in 0in 3.75pt 0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #333333;\">Mountain-Pacific Quality Health partners with health care communities to implement antibiotic stewardship programs and with outpatient health care settings to incorporate the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/antibiotic-use\/media\/pdfs\/core-elements-outpatient-508.pdf?CDC_AAref_Val=https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/antibiotic-use\/community\/pdfs\/16_268900-A_CoreElementsOutpatient_508.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CDC Core Elements of Outpatient Antibiotic Stewardship<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Commitment:<\/strong> demonstrate dedication and accountability to improve antibiotic prescribing and patient safety<\/li>\n<li><strong>Action for policy and practice:<\/strong> implement at least one policy or practice to improve antibiotic prescribing, and determine if it is working and or needs to be modified<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tracking and reporting:<\/strong> monitor antibiotic prescribing practices and offer feedback to clinicians<\/li>\n<li><strong>Education and expertise:<\/strong> provide resources to clinicians and patients and ensure access to needed expertise on optimizing antibiotic
