Seniors Give Back to Local Community and Beyond<\/strong>

St. John’s Living Center – Creation of “Joy Connections”<\/strong>
\nIn February of this year, St. John\u2019s Living Center kicked off our new \u201cJoy Connections\u201d event. Each resident has been paired with a staff member with the goal of making joy connections each week. A minimum of fifteen minutes each week is spent together participating in a hobby of the pair\u2019s choosing such as painting, going for walks, pet visits, having coffee, or just \u201changing out.\u201d Spontaneous engagement can help combat the three plagues of loneliness, helplessness, and boredom, further enriching the lives of not only our residents but also the people that work in our community.<\/p>\n
