I reached out to CMS regarding our inability to attest for Medicare Meaningful Use for Dr. Knudson-Johnson. They stated that once a payment has been issued from CMS, we are unable to switch between Medicaid and Medicare. This does not seem right or fair to me, especially considering Dr. Knudson submitted under Medicaid while she was in the state of Wisconsin, not here in Wyoming. Any advice from here? Can we pull Medicaid information to submit if we cannot change the incentive program over to Medicaid?

Can you please help me answer this question.
    Thanks,
    Wayne Lowery

Wayne, yes a provider can no longer switch between programs. You can however submit the MU data for the Medicare program for this provider to avoid penalties. I will call you so we can discuss this in more detail.
