See the New ASP Resources
September 1, 2017
Hello to all our Antimicrobial Stewardship (ASP) team mates!! We have recently posted some more great new ASP resources to our Montana ABS Collaborative Resources page. I wanted to make sure you were aware of them. The new resources include:
- A new article from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Nurses Association: The Role of Registered Nurses in Hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Practices
- A new CDC resource that will give you concrete examples of ways to implement each core element: Implementation Guide of Antibiotic Stewardship Core Elements in Small/Critical Access Hospitals
- St. Luke in Ronan Montana was generous enough to share a copy of their ASP Policy with all of us. If you do not have a policy or yours needs updated, this is a great example that you can use as a template for your individual organization.
We will have a MT Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative workgroup meeting on 9/20/17 as part of the Montana Hospital Association Fall Convention in Billings. See our blog dated 8/28/17 for more details on this workgroup session. You can register here for the MHA Fall Convention.
Check for upcoming educational events and other resources on our MT ABS Collaborative Resources webpage.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your ASP implementation and would like help, please use the “Leave a Reply” section below, and we will have one of our subject matter experts get back to you, or directly email Patty Kosednar with your questions or comments.
