The Montana Antimicrobial Stewardship (ABS) Collaborative has identified two new webinars to help support your Antibiotic Stewardship Program (ASP). Check them out:

Webinar: Real Antibiotics for Rural Patients: Treating People, Not Guidelines
Guest speaker Dr. Jeffrey Jansen, the pharmacy infectious diseases coordinator for SCL Saint Vincent Healthcare, will begin this presentation with a review of antibacterial resistance, followed by a review of a statewide antibiogram, including limitations and strengths. He will also provide empiric prescribing recommendations. There will be an open Q&A session following his presentation. Intended audience: Pharmacists, providers, infection preventionists and other antimicrobial project team members

Presented by American Hospital Association and Health Research & Educational Trust
A key component in making patient care safer is to track progress toward improvement. During this final session in the three-part series, participants will learn more about all elements of antibiotic stewardship measurement and how they support quality improvement efforts.
