Use Tasks<\/h1>\n<h5>November 17, 2016<\/h5>\n<h6>Written by Patty Kosednar<\/h6>\n<p>As you know, CMS has approved a 90-day reporting period for 2016.\u00a0 You can use any continuous 90 days in the 2016 calendar year for 2016.\u00a0 Please keep the following in mind &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Some of the \u201cyes\/no\u201d MU objectives need to happen during or before the end of your reporting period.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EP and EH \u2013 Each provider needs one patient to view, download or transfer their health information \u2013 this must happen during the reporting period.<\/li>\n<li>EP and EH \u2013 The security risk assessment must be updated\/completed prior to the end or your reporting period.<\/li>\n<li>EP only \u2013 Each provider must send or respond to a eSecure message using CEHRT to at least one patient seen during the reporting period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The date you attest may change your Medicaid eligibility determination period.\u00a0 Give me, your QIO account manager or your State office a call if you are not sure how this might affect you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is almost 60 days into the last 90-day reporting period of the year.\u00a0 If you are in your 90-day reporting period, you should run your current MU reports and check performance for all eligible providers and hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>The MU reports will identify your current performance for each objective, flag any issues, and help prioritize the remaining MU\u00a0tasks needed for this year. \u00a0Hopefully the reports will confirm that your
