This is a reminder that we have a Montana Antibiotic Stewardship (ABS) Collaborative webinar on Thursday, November 30 at 2:00 PM MST. The webinar will include step-by-step instructions on how to collect data for antibiotic usage and examples of how to use this data to determine antibiotic interventions applicable to your organization. <\/p>\n

Webinar Topics and Learning Objectives: <\/p>\n

  1. Dr. Shane Anderson will present on the National Health and Safety Network (NHSN) \u2013 Antibiotic Utilization and Resistance Reporting programs. Following the presentation, participants should be able to describe the integral components and structure of NHSN data reporting. <\/li>\n
  2. Dr. Tom Richardson will present on the antibiotic usage data measure \u201cDays of Therapy\u201d (DOT) calculation (how to collect data) and provide illustrations and examples. Following the presentation, participants should be able to collect antibiotic usage data, calculate DOT and understand the principles behind this concept.<\/li>\n
  3. Dr. JC Ott will present a couple of starter projects or examples of interventions that hospitals can initiate in starting their antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP). Following the presentation, participants should be able to compose an initial process consistent with their ASP goals. <\/li>\n
  4. The webinar will conclude with an open Q&A session.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This will be a pharmacy-focused webinar but valuable to all antimicrobial stewardship program team members.<\/p>\n
