Mountain-Pacific Quality Health Awarded Drug Use Review Contract
Helena, Mont., (August 31, 2017) – Mountain-Pacific Quality Health will continue conducting work related to drug use review (DUR), pharmacy case management and the operation of a formulary committee for the State of Montana under a two-year, $2 million plus contract, awarded August 25, 2017.
“Mountain-Pacific has conducted retrospective DUR analysis for Montana Medicaid for over 24 years,” said Mark Eichler, pharmacy programs director with Mountain-Pacific, “Under our DUR contract we also provide pharmacy case management services whereby our clinical pharmacists hold phone conferences with Medicaid providers to offer unbiased and evidence-based recommendations to help them better manage their patients’ illnesses and the medications they receive. The goal here is to help patients and reduce health care costs.”
