(Helena, Mont.)<\/strong> \u2013 On April 25th Mountain-Pacific Quality Health will celebrate 45 years of improving health care quality and value in the states we serve.<\/p>\n

We first opened our doors in Helena, Montana, in 1973; since then we have broadened our reach to include Wyoming, Alaska, Hawaii and the U.S. Pacific Territories of Guam, American Samoa and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Headquartered in Helena, Mountain-Pacific has offices in Alaska, Hawaii, Wyoming and Guam.<\/p>\n

Mountain-Pacific is one of 14 Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organizations (QIN-QIOs) in the United States that partners with health care providers, practitioners, stakeholders and patients on a variety of quality improvement initiatives to achieve better care, better population health and lower health care costs. Mountain-Pacific also provides Medicaid utilization and pharmacy review and management services for the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.<\/p>\n

\u201cMountain-Pacific has partnered within our communities to provide solutions for better health for more than four decades,\u201d said Sara Medley, Mountain-Pacific\u2019s CEO. \u201cWe are honored to have such an important role in improving care, improving the health of the populations we serve and reducing the costs of health care. Our commitment to driving innovation and solutions for better health has only strengthened over time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mountain-Pacific has four state directors who represent each state in the region we serve. Each director has the responsibility of overseeing staff and task work to ensure we meet specific measures within our quality improvement initiatives. Mountain-Pacific has made meaningful changes in every state we serve.<\/p>\n

According to Pat Fritz, Wyoming\u2019s state director, \u201cWe have been serving the health care communities across the state of Wyoming since 1984 with the goal of making sure the best quality of care is provided to every patient, every time,\u201d she said. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t have achieved this goal without the collaboration and dedication of all our stakeholders \u2013 providers, practitioners, partners and patients. When communities work together as a team, improved health outcomes and lower costs can be achieved. I want to thank all of our partners for their tireless dedication and I look forward to many successes in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christy Fuller, Montana\u2019s state director, said the support of our partners is paramount to Mountain-Pacific\u2019s success.<\/p>\n

\u201cMountain-Pacific\u2019s successes could not have been achieved without the collaboration and dedication of all of our partners in Montana,\u201d said Fuller. \u201cOver the years our relationships with partners in the communities we serve have strengthened, resulting in improved lives and reduced health care costs. We routinely hear from nursing home administrators and directors of nursing how the support we provide results in improved care. And participants in our diabetes programs often comment how the classes have helped them live healthier with diabetes.
