Mountain-Pacific Quality Health, a nonprofit, health care quality improvement organization headquartered in Helena, Montana, is partnering with the Association for Utah Community Health (AUCH) to help health centers in Utah safeguard patient information.<\/p>\n

Under a new, three-year contract, Mountain-Pacific will support the privacy and security of patients\u2019 health information by helping AUCH\u2019s health center members ensure the security standard of their health records.<\/p>\n

\u201cPatient privacy and security are a big part of providing quality health care to patients,\u201d said Sara Medley, CEO of Mountain-Pacific. \u201cOur staff has the expertise to help health care providers comply with federal privacy and security laws, so they can focus on what matters most\u2014caring for their patients.\u201d<\/p>\n

AUCH assists training and technical assistance to 13 health centers and other affiliate members in Utah. As AUCH\u2019s newest partner, Mountain-Pacific\u2019s security risk assessment services will address and modify current policies as needed, help health centers establish a plan to address a security breach if one were to ever occur and develop a training program for employees to minimize the risk of an information breach.<\/p>\n
