Introducing Our Antibiotic Stewardship Podcast Series

National Antibiotic Awareness Week is an annual observance promoted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to raise awareness about the threat of antibiotic resistance and the importance of appropriate antibiotic use. This year, Antibiotic Awareness Week is November 18-24, 2019.

To celebrate, Mountain-Pacific Quality Health would like to introduce our first Healthy Living for Life – Antibiotic Stewardship podcast, which provides valuable information shared by medical and pharmacy experts to help support your antibiotic stewardship program (ASP). This podcast can also be used to provide clinical staff education as required for your ASP.

This first podcast will focus on how “super bugs” are becoming one of the world’s most pressing public health issues and discuss some suggestions for how to maximize your ASP’s effectiveness to help fight them.

This is the first in a series of podcasts we will be releasing over the next six to eight weeks that will feature a wide variety of issues impacting the health care system and the patients, families and caregivers who use this system.
