EHR Based Workgroups to Support NHSN Reporting
April 23, 2019
The Montana Antibiotic Stewardship Collaborative is hoping to create electronic health record (EHR)-based workgroups with the assistance of Medici/Asolva to assist facilities in their efforts to report antibiotic stewardship measures to the antibiotic usage (AU) module in the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and to generate the reports needed to do so.
If you would please take a minute to complete THIS SIMPLE QUESTIONNAIRE and let us know how far along your facility is in the process of reporting and whether you are interested in helping other facilities report or getting the help needed to start reporting along with your peers.
We appreciate your input and will use this information to help identify EHR-based tools and resources that might assist with your AU reporting.

I am a pharmacist in Sheridan WY. I am wondering if reporting to NHSN on Antibiotic use is still going to be mandatory by 2020? I had heard that date a few years ago but have not heard much since then. Thank you for any information.
