Time to Verify Your PQRS Data Format
November 8, 2016
Written by Sarah Leake
It is November and you are happily pulling data from your EHR system in preparation of submitting through your selected reporting mechanisms. If your EHR is robust, you may be able to generate data in multiple formats and therefore may have options in the mechanism. Here is a brief overview of those mechanisms and the types of reports used to submit data by the vendor, registry or your organization.

If you have not engaged with a registry or your EHR vendor to verify their exact methods for submitting data, do so immediately. You should be performing test uploads with your vendor or registry. The deadlines for submitting are the end of February for EHR and QCDR in the QRDA format, and the end of March for Registry submission. Most registries will have a deadline prior to the one CMS has set to allow them time to prepare the final data report.
